Photography - and a thought on cropping.
Henri Cartier Bresson didn’t believe in cropping images. He believed that composition should be done in camera.

I agree. How about you?
Stare. It is the way to educate your eye, and more. Stare, pry, listen, eavesdrop. Die knowing something. You are not here long.

I love past eras. Where women went out dolled up. Not just let me slap on some jeans and a t-shirt. ( Ok yes I am very guilty of that! However I am vowing to doll up twice a month in 2012)

Black & White street photography has always been my first love. Vivian Maier was a very private person regarding her photography, she was discovered during an auction of a storage locker where her wonderful negatives were bought.
If you are in New York between now and January 28, 2012 go check out the exhibit! “Vivian Maier: Photographs from the Maloof Collection” at Howard Greenberg Gallery: 41 East Fifty-seventh Street, Suite 1406, NYC; howardgreenberg.com
